My name is Pam Williamson. As the creator of Made to Crave, I have been wheat intolerant for years. This led me to follow a gluten free diet. As too many of you know, boring, tasteless and time-consuming gluten free products and mixes had become a way of life.
Made to Crave began as an idea after my second child was born. Time became even more precious with a baby and toddler and sacrificing taste and nutrition was so frustrating. Convenient, healthy and nutritious snacks that were gluten free continued to elude me. I chanced upon gluten free oats and immediately thought of granola bars not to mention one of my favorite breakfasts of the past - granola. Most of the gluten free granola and bars on the market are corn and rice based. No substitute for the real thing and I had found the answer.
After a few experiments, chewy style granola bars were born. Granola's were also fun to create and full of flavor opportunities. The best part was nutrition and fulfillment from eating a bar or grabbing a handful of granola was once again in reach. Friends and family who tried the bars and granola loved them and had no idea that they were gluten free. The idea to share these delights surfaced and Made to Crave began.
